Mrs. Melissa Skutack
Mrs. Skutack has spent her life in the Catholic Schools of the Diocese of Scranton.
She attended SS. Peter and Paul Elementary School in Plains and graduated from
Bishop Hoban High School in Wilkes-Barre. She received an Associate's degree in
Early Childhood Education from LCCC, then went on to receive her Bachelor's degree
in Elementary Education as well as a Master's degree in Instructional Technology from College Misericordia. She received her Principal Certification from Marywood University.
Mrs. Skutack began her teaching career in 2006 as a Pre-Kindergarten teacher at
St. Mary’s Assumption in Pittston. After one year, she became the computer teacher at
both St. Mary’s Assumption and Holy Rosary School. In 2011 when St. Mary’s Assumption
closed its doors, she continued as the computer teacher at Holy Rosary School as well as at Wyoming Area Catholic. In 2017 she accepted the Principal position at Holy Rosary
and will be beginning her 8th year in the 2024-2025 school year.
Mrs. Skutack believes in a very hands on approach to her leadership of Holy Rosary School. She is frequently seen in the classrooms, participating in class projects and
getting to know each of the students personally. Mrs. Skutack's way of leading by example brings out the best in everyone at Holy Rosary School each and every day
and she is always ready to welcome new members into our HRS family.
